The hybrid model

Choose the delivery mode that fits each centre

Configure your assessment centrally, then assign online or local-server delivery according to the centre’s infrastructure and requirements.

◎
Internet-based testing

Online IBT

Candidates access the authorised production-server URL over the internet and complete their assessment online.

  • ✓Suitable for remote candidates or centres with reliable connectivity.
  • ✓Supports centrally configured tests, schedules and candidate access.
  • ✓Can serve as an alternative route if the local setup has an issue, subject to connectivity and the approved recovery process.
Delivery depends on internet connectivity and the agreed exam configuration.
▣
Computer-based testing

Local-server CBT

Exam data is synchronised and verified at the centre. Candidates then access the local server through LAN-connected computers.

  • ✓Can run without active internet during the test once the local setup is ready.
  • ✓Uses centre infrastructure, a local server and LAN-connected candidate PCs.
  • ✓Local responses synchronise with the central platform when connectivity is available.
Offline delivery depends on advance synchronisation, verification and centre readiness.
